MEDITERRANEAN SONG

At the end of June each year, the Budva summer of culture starts with a music event of international character, called the Mediterranean Song.

BUDVA THEATRE CITY

Theatre festival Budva is also famous for a cultural event called "Theatre City" which takes place during the peak of the summer months. Theatre City has been around for twenty years now and usually starts in July and ends in mid August. Apart from the theatre it also involves music and Fine Arts. It is an international festival and each year renowned creators from all three fields of culture come to Budva to take part.

OTHER EVENTS

Over and above the large number of cultural events, such as the fine art exhibitions and classical music concerts, there are the Budvanska noc in July, the Petrovacka noc in August and, at the end of summer, in October, the fish event Dan Siruna, all performed in Budva. A large number of popular music events are organized in many of the Budva hotels, motels or restaurants. It must also be mentioned that during the last couple of years, Budva has been host to a large carnival in May and the International Dance Festival in June. During the winter, the city of Budva usually sponsors an open-air programme for New Year's Eve, in front of the Old Town walls. This starts on December 31 and ends on January 2 with most of the programme taken up by performers of pop music in Budva square.
